Wayne Pierce, 71, of Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at his residence. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 18, 2011, at Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will follow at Shiloh Cemetery in Kansas. The Rev. Alfred Hartley will officiate. Visitation will be from 11 a.m .until 1 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to services.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Pierce of Kansas; sons, Wade Pierce (Vera Ann) of Kansas and Ward Pierce (Martha Jo) of Fayette; Granddaddy’s Angels, Wyatt Pierce, Kate Pierce, Wesley Pierce and Dusty Motte; the extended families of Jerry and Steve Stidham; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Mike Blankensopp, Casey Hall, Jackie Haley, Lyn Christian, Dusty Mote and Phillip Eads.
