Rudolph Douglas “Doug” Jackson, a resident of Wetumpka, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 25, 2011, at the age of 81. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, at 11 a.m. at Thelma Baptist Church. The Rev. Doug Chapelle will officiate. Burial will follow at the church cemetery with Gassett Funeral Home of Wetumpka directing.

Jackson was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam Manning Jackson; and his granddaughter, Alisa Roberts.

He is survived by his daughter, Brenda (Dennis) Roberts; sister, Fay Jackson (Joe) Miller; granddaughter, Ambert (David) Heisler; and great-grandchildren, Jackson Knox Heisler and Sarah Kate Heisler.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2011, from 10 a.m. until service time at Thelma Baptist Church.
