She was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Chappell; sister, Lois Calvert; father, Franklin Morris; and mother, Idra Mae Morris.
She is survived by her daughters, Wanda Harland (George) and Anne Underwood (Jackie); sisters, Delora Carter, Ruby Mulligan, Delma Davis and Velma Turner; brother, Billy F. Morris; grandchildren, Darryl Key (Kelly), Sherrie Otwell (Charlie) and Kimberly Hawthorne (Bryan); and great-grandchildren, Darian Key, Lexi Key, Seth Key, Colby Otwell, Carson Otwell and Katie Hawthorne.
