Jimmy Daryl “Murdock” Allred, 56, of Jasper, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 29, 2011, at his residence. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. today, Oct. 1, 2011, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home prior to services. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Oct. 1, 2011, at Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Sipsey. James Aaron will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Manleen Allred; sisters, Barbara Rae Allred and Alma Lou Reed; brothers, Gene, Ricky and Joel Allred; brothers-in-law, Sam Boakle and Rodney Cain; and grandparents, Ocie and Maudie Allred, and George and Ethel Lawson.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Gann; sisters, Joyce Boackle of Curry and Sherrie Uptain (Paul) of Curry; brothers, B.C. Allred (Sue) of Curry, Wayne Allred (Lois) of Curry, Von Allred (Paula) of Curry, Dale Allred (Lyn) of Curry, Avery Allred (Pam) of Cullman and Tommy Allred (Rhonda) of Cordova; brother-in-law, Orbin Reed of Jasper; special friends, Donald Kell, Dago Gaines and Woodie Woodard; step-son, Terry Gann; step-daughters, Kim Pollard, Vickie Whitehead, Tracy and Trisha; step-granddaughters, Megan, Kaitlin, Maggie, Lauren and Chloe; and step-grandsons, Tyler, Chase and Cade.

Pallbearers will be Kevin, Kyle, Kipp and Adam Allred, Ronnie “Red” Kee and David Kee.
