Don Hubert Earnest, 64, of Lynn, died Friday, Oct. 7, 2011 at Veteran’s Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11, in the Collins Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday in the Collins Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Burial with full military honors will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.

Earnest is preceded in death by his father, Wilburn Earnest; mother, Nina Madison Earnest and father-in-law, R.G. Narramore.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Ann Earnest; sons, Don Shannon Earnest and James Calvin Earnest (Stacie); sister, Gwendolyn Swindle; brothers, Royce Earnest (Faye), Bruce Wayne Earnest, Carson Earnest (Kerstin) and Roy Lynn Earnest; mother-in-law, Carrie Narramore; grandchildren, Nicholas John Earnest, Jessica Ann Earnest and Skyler Ray Freeman; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
