Tonya Feltman, 42, was reported missing to the Jasper Police Department Thursday afternoon by her mother, Janice Fields.
Feltman had last been seen Oct. 11 around 10 a.m. at Fields’ home. She told her mother she was going for a walk.
Fields said Feltman called Saturday afternoon and was at a shelter in Jefferson County. Fields said she was picking her daughter up and bringing her home Monday evening.
“I don’t know why she had not called,” Fields said. “We were getting really worried, but we are glad we’ve found her and know she is OK.”
Members of the Jasper Police Department assisted in the search for Feltman, and Police Chief Connie Cooner Rowe said she was happy to see the woman found safe.
