Sarah Elizabeth Robbins, 90, of Empire, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2011, at Shadescrest Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, 2011, at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Dilworth Cemetery. The Rev. Wayne Williams will officiate. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec. 29, 2011, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Robbins was preceded in death by her parents, Elea and Ida Brock; husband, Elbert Robbins; brother, Raymond Brock and sisters, Velma Aycock and Verla Moses.

She is survived by her son, Bradley Robbins (Teresa); step-children, Louise Moore, Elvert Robbins and Jessie Robbins; granddaughters, Bridget Mathis and Megan Robbins; great grandchild, Emory Mathis and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
