Aulene Dockery Herron, 90, of Parrish, has gone to be with her Lord on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at Ridgeview Healthcare in Jasper. She was born on Feb. 19, 1921. She was raised in Townley, lived more than 50 years in Parrish and her last year was at Ridgeview Nursing Home. She was member of Parrish Nazarene Church where she was the secretary and treasurer for more than 20 years.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m. today, Feb. 1, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 2, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Gray Cemetery in Parrish. The Rev. Paul Busby will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Clarence Herron; parents, Jospeh and Meda Dockery; brothers, Jospeh Dockery, Theron Dockery, Leon Dockery, Clarage Dockery and Vern Dockery; sisters, Margaret Dockery, Betty Joyce Dockery, Bobbie Earnest, Sylvia Brandseth, Nell Gray and Anna Lois Barr; and granddaughter, Freda Gayle Brown.

She is survived by her children, James Herron of Alabama, Mary (Graz) Manzo of Alabama, Joseph (Margaret) Herron of Tennessee and Gaytha (Frederick) Brown of Tennessee; sisters, Teola Kimbrell and Lynn Dockery; grandchildren, Gina Manzo, Tracie Wood, David Herron, Sandi Leimkuhler, Brandon Herron, Nicholas Brown and Sarah Ruth Brown; great-grandchildren, Cody Worthington, Segar Wells, Joey Manzo, Christopher Neumann, Christal Neumann, Elizabeth Neumann and Reece Herron; several great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family wants to say a special thanks to extended family and friends, also to Ridgeview Nursing Home and Comfort Care Hospice.
