Visitation was held on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today, Feb. 6, 2012, at Macedonia Baptist Church. Burial will follow at McKinnley Chapel Cemetery in Bremen. Bro. Wayne Taylor will officiate.
She was preceded in death by her father, John W. Guthrie Sr.; mother, Tennis Jewel Haynes Guthrie; husband, Elvin D. Freeman; son, Michael Freeman; and daughter, Kathy Williams.
She is survived by her daughters, Peggy Knight (Philip) and Cindy Conklin (Ray); sisters, Helen Mikael, Mildred Duke, Cora Lee Williams and Addie O. McGill; brothers, John W. Guthrie Jr. and Nolen C. Guthrie; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Billy McGill, Jimmy Key, Jack Duke, Cody Wade, Kevin Williams and Cole Hawkins.
