Daphne Ophelia Smith, 71, of Pearson, Ga., formerly of Dora, died Friday, Feb. 17, 2012, at South Georgia Medical Center in Valdosta, Ga. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2012, at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in Little Vine Cemetery. Rev. Terry Murphree will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Alta and Alonzo Johnsey; and children, Deana Pearce and Wilbur Lee Walker Jr.

Survivors include her daughters, Donna Fender and husband, Bennie and Amanda Bryant; grandchildren, William Fender, Brandon Fender and wife, Misty, and Larry Pearce; great-grandchildren, Maria Fender and Brandon Fender Jr.; brothers, Johnny Johnsey and David Johnsey; sisters, Jeanette Weldon and husband, Jimmy, Joyce Roberts and husband, Billy Joe, and Elaine Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews and other family and friends.
