Dora stayed perfect in the Walker County Baseball Tournament thanks to a dominating outing from Blake Stone on the mound Tuesday at Dora High School.

Stone out-dueled Carbon Hill’s Blaine Eads as Dora picked up a 2-1 victory. Stone tossed a two-hitter, giving up three walks and striking out seven in the game.

Eads did his part as well, allowing four hits and one walk while striking out 10.

In other tournament games on Tuesday, Oakman defeated Parrish 12-2 and Cordova knocked off Curry 6-4.

At Dora, Carbon Hill took a 1-0 lead in the fifth inning when Tylor Owens was hit by a pitch, stole second base, moved to third on a throwing error and scored on a fielding error.

The lead didn’t last long.

Dora pushed across two runs in the bottom of the fifth.

Andrew Alexander led off the inning with a single, stole second base and moved to third on a sacrifice. He scored on a squeeze bunt off the bat of Jacob Gordon to notch the score.

Dora wasn’t done.

Gordon stole two bases and came home on an RBI single from Justin Shaddix to put Dora ahead for good. Dalton Bahrik and Blake Drawhorn had hits for Dora.

Dora plays a make up game at 3 p.m. today at Curry.
