Carolyn Janette Cleveland Smith Moore, 73, of Jasper, passed away at her home after a short illness on Wednesday, April 25, 2012. She was surrounded by family and friends.

Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 26, 2012, at Kilgore Green Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today, April 27, 2012, at Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Delmus Anthony will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Michael Smith; and parents, Roy and Jessie Cleveland.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Don) Henry of Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.; son, Greg Smith of Jasper; daughter, Sandi (Jerry) Files of Jasper; grandchildren, Stan Panter, and Nick and Haley Files; great-grandchildren, Shawn and Aaron Panter, and Trey Henry; brothers, Lonnie (Margarette) Cleveland of Lowell, Ind. and Ronald (Barbara) Cleveland of Jasper; sister, Sandra Cleveland Simmons of Jasper; and a host of nieces and nephews.

She leaves behind her beloved dog, Louie, her childhood friends, Gail Roberts and Phyllis Wilson; special friends from third place, Phyllis Henderson, Stanley and Louise Wade, and Henry and Jan Handley.

Pallbearers will be Edward Cleveland, Rocky Cleveland, Keith Duncan, Henry Handley, Ricky Kilgore and Joey Simmons.
