Jauch graduated from Addison High School in 2009. His first book, “A Banished Land,” was published that fall.
Jauch, a lifelong avid reader, said a friend convinced him to try his hand at writing.
“He got me into reading this one series and said, ‘You could do something like that.’ So I gave it a shot, and it turned out to be something pretty good,” Jauch said.
“A Banished Land” is the story of two friends who get pulled into a parallel world roamed by vampires, dragons, werewolves and other creatures that couldn’t co-exist with human beings.
Jauch’s second book, “A Banished Land: The Turning,” was released earlier this year.
He will be signing copies of both on Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Corner Bookstore in Double Springs.
Jauch said he has already completed the third book in the series and is considering adding a fourth to it as well.
He added that although the series is geared toward younger readers, older age groups seem to enjoy it as well.
“I have been surprised by all of the age groups reading it that I never anticipated,” Jauch said.
