The Chamber of Commerce of Walker County will host its annual breakfast this Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Community Health Systems Activities Center. Kay Donaldson, program director for the Alabama Bass Trail, will be the featured speaker.

Chamber President Linda Lewis said that several members of the board were impressed with Donaldson when she was in town with Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley to announce Lewis Smith Lake as one of the locations for the Bass Trail.

“It’s going to be an outstanding program,” Lewis said.

Several anglers are also planning to attend the breakfast, including Greg Pugh, David Kilgore and Christopher Bowes, as well as Jamie Horton, who will be bringing his boat to exhibit.

The breakfast will also serve as the unveiling for the Chamber’s 2012 magazine, “Images.” The magazine will be shown for the first time by Todd Potter, vice president of Journal Communications, which produced the magazine.

“This is the first time our publication will be available online,” Lewis said. “It is a wonderful marketing opportunity for us and anyone who advertised or helped make it a success.”

Tickets are $10 per person and $60 for a corporate table. Anyone wishing to attend should call the Chamber today at 384-4571.

Lewis said there were a few tables still available.
