Rodney Miles McCullar was born on July 22, 1950, to Randsom Miles McCullar and Annie Ruth Christian in Jasper. Rodney passed away on May 10, 2012, in Spokane, Wash.

Rodney lived and attended school in Jasper until he was 12 when his family moved to Butte, Mont. From Butte, he joined the United States Marine Corps in 1968. Rodney served two tours in Vietnam.

He married Theresa Jill Lester of Butte, Mont., and fathered two children, Jerry and Brandi McCullar. Rodney and Theresa were married for 25 years. He worked for and retired from Mountain Bell (later US West and Qwest) and retired as a lineman at the age of 50. He and his family lived in Phoenix, Ariz., Sierra Vista, Ariz., Helena, Mont., and Butte, Mont., during his career.

He married Sue Adams in Sierra Vista, Ariz., in 1999. They were married for 12 years until Rodney passed.

Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Ruth Christian; late wife, Theresa Jill McCullar; grandparents, Jerry and Treva Christian and Lilly and Noah McCullar; and Sister Gloria Jean McCullar.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Susan McCullar of Post Falls, Idaho; his son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Sherry McCullar of Post Falls, Idaho; daughter and son-in-law, Brandi and Michael LaDue of Post Falls, Idaho; and step-daughter, Erica Risher of Alpina, Ark., Rodney had 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He leaves behind three brothers and one sister, Richard McCullar of Casper, Wyo., Noal Rance (Randy) McCullar of Hillsboro, Ore., Ronnie McCullar of Missoula, Mont., and Patrica Waid of Jasper.
