Joel Edward Carroll Sr., son of the late Walter Scott Carroll and Gaynell Caldwell Carroll, 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of family June 4, 2012. A memorial service will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday, June 10 at Starview Baptist Church in Parrish with Pastor John Bradley serving as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery in Cordova for immediate family only.

He leaves to cherish his memory six children, Rhonda Carroll Rodriguez, Theresa Carroll Ellis, Joel E. Carroll Jr., Brenda S. Carroll, Crystal M. Carroll, Stormy J. Carroll; 10 grandchildren, Patricia Kelley, Jesse Kelley, Tyler Henson, Carrissa Carroll, Derrick Clark Jr., Carleigh Nabors, D. J. Nabors, Surria Birgans and Tyraye Carroll; three great-grandchildren; two ex-wives, Karen Carroll and the mother of his children, Veronica Niehas Carroll; and one sister, Sandra Mitchell.
