Sakura joins the family’s six existing restraints, four in New York, one in Nashville and one in Clanton.
The menu features an extensive sushi menu, prepared by a professionally trained sushi chef and includes vegetarian sushi options.
There is even a Jasper Roll on the specialty sushi menu that features shrimp tempura, cucumber, cream cheese and lettuce topped with spicy seafood.
The fresh seafood is flown in twice a week and ranges from shrimp and scallops to tuna, salmon, crab and eel.
If sushi doesn’t appeal, the menu has a range of items from the hibachi grill and bento dinners, as well as individual items such as soup, springs rolls and tempura.
The menu also has kids options and desserts.
The restaurant is located at 300 Hwy 78 West in Jasper and will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. There is also a discounted lunch menu from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. that starts at $4.99.
