Visitation was held on Monday, June 25, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. The funeral followed at 7 p.m. Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. today, June 26, 2012, at Edgil Grove Baptist Cemetery. Hancel Cox and and David Miller officiated.
He was preceded in death by his father, John Alexander Jr.; and mother, Meda Kilgore Alexander.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Charlotte Smith Alexander; daughters, Alisa Jones (Michael) and Lynn Jetton (Frank); son, Chris Alexander (Pamela); brothers, Terry D. Alexander (Brenda) and Mike Alexander (Kathy); grandchildren, Joshua Gilbert (Dana), Jacob Gilbert (Brittany), Crista Alexander, Cason Alexander and Ashton Jones; great-grandchildren, Blaine, Anna Kate and Brooklyn; and other family and friends.
