Martha D. (Anglin) Noles, 91, of Clear Creek-Smith Lake, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at her son’s home. She was born on March 20, 1921, in Baldwyn, Miss. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She called everyone “Angel.” She was a Sunday School teacher at the Poplar Springs Church of Christ and her husband was an elder and one of the founders of that church. She was a girl scout mother and very involved. She was a fabulous seamstress, making many bridal gowns for women that she loved. She always loved designing dresses and so she worked for many clothing shops like Martha Cross of La Jolla, Calif., and when she moved to Jasper in the 1970s so that they could take care of her husband's parents, she worked for J.M. Hayes Dept. Store in downtown Jasper, and when they closed the store, J.C. Penney’s called her to work for them and she worked there for 10 years until she retired to take care of her ailing husband and to fish and plant flowers, which she loved doing almost as much as helping people look their very best in pretty clothes.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m.on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at New Hope Holy Church of Christ Cemetery in Nauvoo. Jim Burton will officiate.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lacy Frank Noles Sr.; father and mother, George Washington Anglin and Etha Cleo Swindle Anglin, both born in Mississippi and buried in San Diego, Calif.; brother, George Anglin (Inez) of Tennessee; and sisters, Imogene Peters (Floyd) of Kingman, Ariz., and Margaret Damiano (Dan) of San Diego, Calif.

She is survived by her son, Frank Noles Jr. (Becky) of Smith Lake in Jasper; daughters, Shirley Noles Lawrie (Robert) of Smith Lake in Jasper and Patricia Ann Lambe (Mike) of San Diego, Calif.; brother, James Marcus Anglin (Margie) of San Diego, Calif.; granddaughters, Robyn Limbaugh (Matt) of San Diego, Calif., Mikelle Seile (Chris) of San Diego, Calif., Heather Noles of Northfield, Ohio, and Hillary Noles of Henderson, Nev.; step-granddaughter, Dianne Lawrie of Los Osos, Calif.; great-grandchildren, Lacy, Todd, Regan and Maysen, all of San Diego, Calif., Bo, Brandon, Chase, Tiffani and Vanessa, all of Northfield, Ohio; and step-great-grandchildren, Courtney Maren, Taj and Connor, all of Los Osos, Calif.
