Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 2, 2012, at 2 p.m. at New Horizon Memorial Chapel. The Rev. Ted Johnson will officiate. Burial will follow at Sardis Cemetery on River Road in Cordova. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, July 1, 2012, at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles William Hester; mother, Evie Johnsey Hester; sisters, Junie Belle Bains and Lela Mae Cole; and brother, Carvin Hester.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Ann Holley Hester; son, Charles William Hester and his wife, Betty; daughter, Shelia Ann Johnson; grandchildren, Richie Hester (Krystle), Niki Jill Thomas (Ben) and Charles Earl Hester; one great-granddaughter, Nakol Hester; his special dog Bitsy; brothers, Charles Ray Hester, Jimmy Hester and Sammy Hester; sisters, Evie Lee Hicks, Annie Lee Taylor and Bobby Prestley; and many nieces and nephews.
