She was born on March 20, 1921 in Baldwyn. Miss. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She called everyone "Angel". She was a Sunday school teacher at the Poplar Springs Church of Christ and her husband was an elder and one of the founders of that church. She was a Girl Scout mother and very involved. She was a fabulous seamstress, making many bridal gowns for women that she loved. She always loved designing dresses and so she worked for many clothing shops like Martha Cross of La Jolla. Calif And when she moved to Jasper. Ala. in the 1970’s so that they could take care of her husband's parents, she worked for J.M. Hayes Department Store in downtown Jasper, Ala. and when they closed the store. J.C. Penney's called her to work for them and she worked there for 10 years until she retired to take care of her ailing husband and to fish and plant flowers, which she loved doing almost as much as helping people look their very best in pretty clothes.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Lacy Frank Noles Sr.; her parents, George Washington Anglin and Etha Cleo Swindle Anglin, born in Mississippi and buried in San Diego, Calif.; one brother, George Anglin (Inez) of Tennessee; two sisters, Imogene Peters (Floyd) of Kingman, Ariz. and Anna Margaret Damiano (Dan) of San Diego. Calif.
She is survived by her son Frank Noles Jr. (Becky) of Smith Lake, Jasper, Ala;. two daughters, Shirley Noles Lawrie (Robert) of Smith Lake, Jasper, Ala. and Patricia Ann Lambce (Mike) of San Diego. Calif.; brother, James Marcus Anglin (Margie) of San Diego. Calif.; granddaughters, Robyn Limbaugh (Matt), Mikelle Seilc (Chris) both of San Diego, Calif., Heather Noles of Northfield. Ohio and Hillary Noles of Henderson, Nev.; step granddaughter, Dianne Lawrie of Los Osos, Calif.; twelve great-grandchildren, Lacy, Todd, Regan and Maysen of San Diego. Calif., Bo, Brandon, Chase, Tiffani and Vanessa of Northfield, Ohio; and step great-grandchildren Courtney Maren, Ta] and Connor of Los Osos, Calif.
