Visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 21, 2012, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home prior to services. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. on Saturday at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mt. Joy Cemetery. Vaughn Ellison and Dewey Williams will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Elda Abbott; son, A.J. Abbott; parents, Marion and Ada Abbott; brothers, Herman, Clarence and John Abbott; sisters, Vivian Eddy, Ruby, Ethel and Eder; and daughter-in-law, Wanda Abbott.
He is survived by his children, Margaret Williams (Dewey), Della Allen (Jimmy), Jimmy Abbott (Betty) and Judy Dill (Dennis); daughter-in-law, Henrietta Abbot; 14 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Gaynell Myers (Thomas); brother, Curtis Abbott (Doris); sisters-in-law, Ruby Abbott, Anisteen Abbott and Lear Abbott; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Dewayne Williams, Anthony Williams, Steven Williams, Timmy Abbott, Jeffery Abbott and Mason Drummond.
