Johnson - Gunter

Jordanna Scott Johnson of Jasper and Barry Chase Gunter of Jasper were united in marriage at 7 p.m. on June 1, 2012, in a double ring ceremony officiated by Pastor Greg Story at Rosewood in Pinson. A reception in the Rosewood Ballroom followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Brent and Dana McCarver of Jasper, and Johnny and Andrea Johnson of Jasper.

The groom is the son of Barry and Pam Gunter of Jasper.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose a formal designer gown of silk white silk organza. The strapless gown was fashioned in the sweetheart, molded bodice styling, richly adorned with hand embroidery and beading. The multi-layer skirt fell from an elongated waistline and cascaded to ballroom fullness at its hemline. The elegant gown carried an extended Chapel length train. Her grand royal Cathedral length veil of imported French tulle’ was in the rippling Barcelona styling and edged with miniature silver beads and a sterling silver filligre. It was held by a bridal bandeau of beading matching the beading of the gown. Her bouquet was light pink english garden rose, champagne rose, queen anne’s lace, white veronica, white hydrangea and green roses. Maid of honor was sister of the bride, Katie McCarver. Bridesmaids were Abbey Gunter, sister of the groom, Maggie McDaniel, Emily Randolph, Anna Cain and Erin Cain.

Best man was father of the groom, Barry Gunter. Groomsmen were Tyler Doss, Micah Lawson, Brad Hyche, Isaac Gallagher and Hayden Cain. Ushers were Caleb Cooksey, Hunter Halmark, Tucker Johnson and Tanner Johnson, brothers of the bride.

Flower girls were Kennedy Bridgemon and Ava Claire Rogers. Ringbearers were Sam Hice and Ethan Gunter.

The rehearsal dinner was given by Barry and Pam Gunter, parents of the groom.

After a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic, Punta Cana.

The couple now resides in Jasper.

Bennett - Rea

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Allen Bennett of Bethlehem, Ga. are pleased to announce the upcoming marriage of their daughter, Meredith Lyn Bennett of Branden, Miss., to Christopher Lee Rea of Indialantic, Fla., the son of Mr. and Mrs. Audie Gean Rea of Jackson, Miss.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Bryant of Snellville, Ga., Mr. and Mrs. Boyce Davis of Covington, Ga., Mrs. Allen Bennett of Snellville, Ga. and the late Mr. Bennett.

The prospective groom is the grandson of of Mrs. Eugene W. Atkinson of Jackson, Miss., Ms. and the late Mr. Atkinson, and Mr. and Mrs. Bobby G. Rea of Nauvoo.

The bride-elect is a graduate of the University of Georgia and is currently employed as youth minister with Pinelake Church in Branden, Miss.

The prospective groom is a graduate of the UNiversity of Mississippi and is an insurance broker with Amwins Brokerage in Satellite Beach, Fla.

The couple will be married in a small family ceremony in Vero Beach, Fla. on Aug. 25, 2012.

The couple will honeymoon in Europe.
