The family will receive friends today, Aug. 10, 2012, at 4 p.m. at Faith Baptist Church in Haleyville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Larry Shifflett will officiate.
Mr. Pearson was preceded in death by his father, Albert Pearson; mother, Ada Pearson; brothers, Wed Pearson, J.W. Pearson and June Pearson; and sisters, Neialen Colburn and Allaine Rockwell.
He is survived by his wife, Martha Gail Pearson of Double Springs; son, Joseph Larry Pearson Jr. (Teresa) of Double Springs; sisters, Brenda Colburn, Jean Croft and Elrose Thomson; and five grandchildren.
