Visitation was held Thursday, Aug. 16, 2012, from 6 until 8 p.m. in parlor at Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper. No funeral services were held. Burial was in Walker Memory Gardens in Jasper. Collins-Burke Funeral Home directed.
He was preceded in death by his father, George F. Turner; and mother, Robbie Holiday Turner.
He is survived by his wife, Theresa Embrey Turner of Huntsville; two daughters, Jennie Phillips (Rick) of Aiken, S.C., and Sandie Turner Hesser (Wayne); one son, Paul Woods (Christina); two step-daughters, Virginia Woods and Darlene Woods; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
