Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 23, 2012 from 6 until 8 p.m. in the parlor at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services will be held Friday, Aug.24, 2012 at 1 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Chapel. Burial will be in Walker Memory Gardens.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife, Gaynelle Robertson Bankston; brothers, John W. Bankston and Irvin Bankston; and sisters, Artie Pike and Pernie Blackwell.
He is survived by his sister, Bernice Smith and brother-in-law, Wayne Carl Smith; brother-in-law, Joe Robertson; and sister-in-law, Pat Robertson.
He is survived by daughters Rebecca (Steve) Baluha of Canton, Mich., and Melissa (Tony) Rossi of Houston, Texas; grandson, Matthew (Rachel) Baluha of Westland, Mich.; grandaughters, Sarah (Christopher) Harris of Dayton, Ohio, Amanda (Christopher) Fantauzzi of West Bloomfield, Mich., and Kristin (Paul) Robertson of Westland, Mich.; great-grandchilden, Cameron Baluha, Henry Harris and Seth Baluha, Charlotte Harris and soon-to-arrive Madelyn Fantauzzi.
He was loved and will be greatly missed.
