Mr. William Joel Bennett, 71, of Cordova died Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at his residence. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 10, 2012, at Dilworth Cemetery with Rev. Delbert Freeman officiating. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday in the parlor at Bell Funeral Home in Sumiton. Bell Funeral Home Sumiton has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Preceding him in death were his parents; Leonard and Lacy Banks Bennett; daughter, Pamela Jo Bennett; and brothers, Leonard “Slim” Bennett, Julius Bennett, Jimmy Bennett, Perry Bennett, and Eugene ‘Poochie” Bennett.

Survivors include his wife, Lucky Bennett of Cordova; daughters, Shelia Wiggins and her husband, Brian of Cordova, Shannon Holley and her significant other, Jeremy Rhodes of Boldo, and Sharon Eddy and her husband, Bryan of Boldo; brothers, James Bennett and his wife, Jenny of Nauvoo, and Johnny Bennett and his wife, Joan of Parrish; grandchildren, Joshua Wiggins of Florence, Caitlin Wiggins of Cordova, Jason Holley of Argo, Zack Holley of Boldo, Nick Atchley of Cordova, and Alicia Eddy of Curry; and a host of other relatives and friends.
