Mr. Johnny Edward “Duke” Palmer, 59, of Quinton, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2012, at his residence. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Sept. 15, 2012, at Bell Sumiton Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012, at Bell Sumiton Chapel, with burial in Shanghi Cemetery. The Rev. Richard Davis will officiate.

Preceding him in death were his father, Rufus W. Palmer; and son, David W. Knight.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Donna Palmer; children, Jeffrey Palmer, Miranda Palmer, Brandon Knight and Candace Beasley; mother, Margaret Palmer; brothers, Earnie Palmer, Michael Palmer, Steven Palmer, Marlon Palmer and Jerry Palmer; sisters, Willa Dean Chadwick and Pam Creighton; nine grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, friends, neighbors and co-workers.
