Gambrell-Brown

Mr. and Mrs. Danny Gambrell of Jasper are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Mary Rebecca Gambrell, to Dustin Bradford Brown of Tuscaloosa, the son of Darrell and Robin Brown of Jasper.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Bea Primm and the late John Primm of Jasper, the late Mr. and Mrs. D. Joe Gambrell of Jasper, and the step-granddaughter of Euna Mae Gambrell of Jasper.

She is a 2007 graduate of Walker High School, a 2010 graduate of Bevill State Community College where she earned an associate degree in nursing (RN) and a 2012 graduate of Jacksonville State University where she received a bachelor of science degree in nursing. She is currently employed with Walker Baptist Medical Center as a registered nurse.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Johnnie Ruth Bradford and the late Earl C. Bradford of Jasper, and Mary Doris Brown and the late James Brown of Oakman.

He is a 2002 graduate of Walker High School and a 2007 graduate of the University of Alabama where he received a bachelor of science degree in operations management. He is currently employed with Nucor Steel Tuscaloosa.

A family wedding will take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012, at Aldridge Gardens in Hoover.

Formal invitations have been sent.

The couple will honeymoon in Jamaica and will reside in Tuscaloosa.

Woodley-Bates

Scott and Cindy Woodley of Jasper are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Morgan Woodley, to Richard Justin Bates, the son of Ricky and Lisa Bates of Jasper.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Glenn and Ruth Snelgrove, Gail Williams and the late Bill Woodley, and the late DeVane Williams.

She is a 2004 graduate of Curry High School. She attended UNA and is a graduate of Jasper Beauty Academy. She is currently employed with Curry Beauty Salon.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Walker High School, a 2008 graduate of Bevill State with an ADN in Nursing and a 2012 graduate of Jacksonville State with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He plans to attend the UAB Nurse Practioner program in January 2013. He is currently employed with Baptist Health System-Princeton.

The wedding will take place at 6 p.m. on Oct. 6, 2012, at Musgrove Country Club.

Blackwell-Redmill

Mr. and Mrs. Jeffrey Blackwell of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Monika Marie Blackwell, to Dr. Patrick Scott Redmill, the son of John and Bonnie Redmill of Jasper.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marianna Sztalkoper, the late Wladyslaw Sztalkoper, and the late Jack and Phyllis Blackwell, all of Cleveland, Ohio.

Miss Blackwell is a 2007 graduate of Vanderbilt University and is currently employed with Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Lois Guin, the late Grady Guin, and the late Horace and Ivalee Redmill, all of Jasper.

Dr. Redmill received a B.S. in chemical engineering from Auburn University in 2003 and a doctorate in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University in 2008. He is currently employed in research  and development at Heat Transfer Research, Inc. in College Station, Texas.

The couple will exchange vows at Dyer Observatory-Vanderbilt University on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.

Pendleton - Humphries

Mr. and Mrs. William Andrew Pendleton of Auburn are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Tiffany Elaine Pendleton, to Jason Marc Humphries of Tuscaloosa, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Humphries of Jasper.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James Robert Pendleton and Carol Ann Griffin Spencer, both of Mobile, and the late Jimmy Lee Nicholson and the late Martha Sue Elaine Coley of North Carolina.

She is a graduate of Theodore High School in Mobile. She is currently completing her degree in education at Shelton State Community College in Tuscaloosa.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Ms. Marie Smith of Parrish, the late Ted Smith of Parrish, and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Humphries of Saragossa.

He is a graduate of Carbon Hill High School and the University of Alabama. He is currently employed with LifeWay.

The wedding will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Northside Baptist Church in Jasper.
