Randall Kent Ellis, 58, of Jasper, passed away on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012, at his residence. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at Sixth Ave. Church of Christ prior to services. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. at Sixth Ave. Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Walker Memory Gardens. Levi Sides will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his father, Belton Ellis.

He is survived by his daughter, Rusti Ellis of Jasper; grandson, Hunter Kent Ellis; mother, Sylvia Ellis Corry of Jasper; brother, Gary Ellis (Linda) of Jasper; nephews, Michael Ellis and Lee Ellis of Jasper; great-nephew and niece, Laurel Ellis and Lee Ellis Jr. of Jasper; two step-brothers; one step-sister; special cousin, Donna Barnett (Carl) of Oakman; and many, many special friends.

Pallbearers will be Mike Sherer, Cecil Jones, David Cain, Jimmy Fike, Phillip Williams, Steve Thornton, Steve Odom and Dr. Roger Childers.

Honorary pallbearers will be members of Beaver Creek Hunting Club and Gabby’s Coffee Table and employees.

The family would like to say a special thanks to Dr. Burt Neighbors, the staff at UAB Hospital and Jeff Chambless of Comfort Care Hospice.
