Visitation was from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, in the parlor of Collins-Burke Funeral Home in Jasper. Graveside services will be held at 12:30 p.m. today, Oct. 12, 2012, at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo. Kerry Richardson and Kyle Gilpin will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his father, George W. Gillott; and mother, Ruby West Gillott.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Gillott; one daughter, Sandy Gillott Bennett (Steven); one son, Steven Gillott (Shawn); one sister, Mary Garrison; one brother, James Gillott; and eight grandchildren, Joseph Bennett, Chandler Gillott, Matthew Gillott, Morgan Bennett, Adam Gillott, Landan Bennett, Elizabeth Gillott and Sofia Bennett.
