Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Oct. 21, 2012, in the parlor at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home in Jasper. Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at 1 p.m. in the Kilgore-Green Funeral Home Chapel with burial in the Mt. Joy Cemetery. Bruce Levan officiating.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Theo Smothers and Maxine; brother, Larry Smothers; and mother-in-law, Katie McAlpin.
He is survived by his wife, Karan Smothers of Chelsea; daughter, Katie McCrary and her husband, Joseph, of Chelsea; son, Anthony Smothers and his wife, Samantha of Margaret; grandchildren, Noah, William, Jacob, and Jadelyn; brothers, Mitchell Smothers, Jerry Smothers and his wife, Valla, and Eddie Smothers and his wife, Lucy, all of Jasper; father-in-law, James H. McAlpin of Jasper; and sister-in-law, Miriam Smothers of Jasper.
