Roderick Karl Gober, 48, of Mount Olive, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, in an automobile accident in Townley.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2012, at 1 p.m., at Liberty Grove Baptist Cemetery in Nauvoo.

Visitation will be today, Oct. 22, 2012, from 6 until 9 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home.

Karl played football for Meek High School. His team number was #20. He loved Alabama football, cars, had a gift for gabbing and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Kent Gober; grandparents, Howard and Alrena Lockhart, and Leonard and Pernie Gober.

He is survived by his mother, Betty Joe Lockhart Gober; sons, Matthew Gober and Garrett Gober; sister, Rhonda Gober Woods of Jasper; brothers, Kelly Gober, Kent Gober and Richard Gober; grandchild, Kobe Gober; mother of children, Beverly Gober; step-sisters, Polly Johnson, Kim Ergle and Kellie Simmons.
