Mary Jean Campbell, 77, of Empire, passed away on Saturday Nov. 3, 2012 at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at Bell Sumiton Chapel with burial in the Empire Memorial Gardens cemetery. The Rev. Sammy Reid will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today, Nov. 5, 2012 at the funeral home.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Andrew and Maggie Eva Henson; and brother, R.C. Henson.

Survivors include her devoted husband of 56 years, Frank E. Campbell; son, Mark E. Campbell and his wife, Debora; grandson, Ethan E. Campbell; step-granddaughters, Christrie Plott and husband, Ray and Amy England; sisters, Sylvia Childers and husband, Howard, and Gloria Dean Weathers; nieces, Sueann Holt and husband, Larry, and Valorie Sharp and husband, Ronnie; nephews, Frankie Weathers and wife, Sue, and Howard Childres Jr.; great nieces and nephews, Deedee, Becky, Ginger, Dawn, Johnathan and Nathan; eight great-great nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
