Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today, Nov. 13, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Parlor. Funeral services will be at 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, at Collins-Burke Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Oakman. Billy Powell Garrett will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Amelia Bruner; father, Melvin Bruner; brothers, Lynn Bruner and Jerry Bruner; and granddaughter, Kaylee Dodson.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Royster Bruner of Oakman; daughters, Jennifer Darty, Misty Bruner and Jessica Miles (Bennie); sons, Heath Dodson and Jacob Bruner; sisters, Judy Ocomen (Boyette), Pat Gurganus, Joann Christian, Susan Gurganus and Brenda Gurganus; brother, Terry Bruner (Patsy); special friend, Rod and Debra Watkins; special angels, Sweet Pea and Honey Bun; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Black, Spencer Black, Wesley Black, Taylor Darty, Jason Black, Dennis Gurganus, Terry Watkins, Isaac Walker, Bennie Miles and Troy Gurganus.
