Edward L. Prickett, 69, passed away on Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, after a short illness. He was born in Cullman on Jan. 24, 1943. Ed loved Alabama football, meeting with his friends at Waffle House and Our Place in Gardendale. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

He was preceded in death by his father, Edward L. Prickett Sr.; and mother, Mariglen Newman Prickett.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Jean Lay Prickett; son, Charles Edward Prickett (Tracy); daughter, Christy Prickett Jackson (Greg); stepdaughters, Darlene Williams Bull (Bobby), Karen Williams Gibson ( Bobby) and Cindy Williams Gunter (Chris). He is also survived by ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Sandy Wood of Lone Oak, Ga.

Visitation will be at Collins-Burke funeral home on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012 at 10 a.m. with funeral at 1 p.m. He will be buried at Hunter's Chapel Holy Church of Christ.
