Lawasla Campbell of Cullman passed away on Thursday, Nov. 15, 2012, at Cullman Long Term Care at the age of 94. She was born in Walker County on March 1, 1918, to Charlie and Susie Wilson Rivers. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, General W. Campbell; an infant daughter; sisters, Juanita Chaney and Wanda Lanier; and brothers, Bud, J.W. and Ed Rivers.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Moss Service Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. with Brother Gene Persal officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Survivors are two sons, Gerald E. (Kathy) Campbell and E. Dormal (Mary Lucille) Campbell; one sister, Freda (L.C.) Forrester; sister-in-law, Dorothy Atkins; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. The family would like to express their thanks to the entire staff at Cullman Long Term Care for the wonderful care given to Mrs. Campbell.
