Evelyn Ruth Crowe Ward Trader, 82, of Lynn, entered into rest on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Walker Baptist Medical Center. She was born on March 13, 1930. Mrs. Trader was a member of Lynn Baptist Church for more than 50 years where she served as a Sunday School teacher and was involved with the W.M.U. She was a 1948 graduate of Lynn High School and a 1968 graduate of Northwest Alabama Trade School of Nursing. Evelyn was a nurse at Cooper Green Hospital and various nursing homes. She was a longtime member of Easter Star. Evelyn enjoyed sewing and crocheting.

Visitation will be held today, Dec. 20, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m. at Nichols Funeral Home in Haleyville, where services will be held on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, at 2:30 p.m. Burial will follow in Lynn Cemetery. Brother Rickie Mann will officiate.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Jeffery (Kathy) Ward; daughter, LaDonna Guthrie; brothers, Odean Cummings, Bill (Kathy) Crowe and Gathol (Evelyn) Crowe. She was "Nana" to five grandchildren, Todd Walker, Tanya Sanders, Joshua Guthrie, Jeffery Ward and Jacob Guthrie; and seven great-grandchildren, Zachery Sanders, Ryan Walker, Macie Sanders, Michelle Ward, Catherine Guthrie, Collin Guthrie and James Ward.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Ward; second husband, John Trader; parents, Lewis and Trannie Crowe; brothers, Glendon Crowe and Lathol Crowe; sisters, Pauline Hopson and Estelle Byrum.
