Bobby Kilpatrick, 60, of Jasper, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013, at Princeton Baptist Medical Center.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, James and Ellen Kilpatrick; and his sister, Sandra Williams.

Bobby was born in Jasper on Aug. 14, 1952. He graduated from Cordova High School and was well known for his athletic excellence in Cordova football, basketball and baseball. He was very active in the Cordova community for many years where coached toy bowl football and girls’ softball and basketball.

Bobby was a talented musician and loved to karaoke. He also loved to travel and ride his Harley and would always participate in charity bike rides. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all.

Bobby made a wonderful life for his family by working as a coal miner for over 25 years. Bobby was extremely loving and proud of his children. He is survived by his three daughters, Tracy Kilpatrick Roper (Blake), Kelly Kilpatrick (Greg) and Ali Kilpatrick, all of Jasper; and his son, Joshua Kilpatrick (Amanda) of Florence. He is also survived by his sister, Diane Watkins (Tony), and three brothers, Billy Ray Kilpatrick, Randy Kilpatrick (Crist) and Rusty Kilpatrick (Trisha), all of Parrish. He was also blessed with seven grandchildren, Kayden, Kynslee, Isabella, Laila, Mani Lee, Sam and James Kelly.

A memorial service to celebrate Bobby’s life will be at 6 p.m. today, Jan. 8, 2013, at Corinth Baptist Church on Gardner's Gin Road in Cordova.
