J. B. Chilcoat, 84, of Dora, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013 at his residence.

He was a retired coal miner with the Drummond Company and a Mason for over 50 years.

Funeral services will be Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at 11 a.m. in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Morgan Cemetery in Sumiton. Rev. Herb Williamson and Rev. Tom Salter will officiate. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

His survivors include his wife, Cora Bell Chilcoat; son, Charley Chilcoat (Linda); daughter, Pam Young (Tommy); grandchildren, Wesley Chilcoat (Jennifer), Michelle Jarrett Motanic (Don), Alyssa Chilcoat; great-grandchildren, Kailey Chilcoat, Camden Chilcoat; brother, Wallace Chilcoat; sister, Kay Baldwin and a host of other relatives and friends.
