Richard Allen Ruble, 52, of Jasper, started his new life in Heaven on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013. He passed away unexpectedly at UAB Hospital in Birmingham surrounded by loved ones. He was a member of Jasper’s First Baptist Church and Volunteer Coordinator of Walker County Long Term Recovery. Richard had a passion for helping others in the rebuilding of Cordova. Even in death as an organ donor three people were given a second chance at life. He took great pride in his family and will be remembered as a wonderful husband and father.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. on today, Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at First Baptist of Jasper. Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. today at First Baptist of Jasper. Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013, at Oak Hill Cemetery. Dr. Dennis Culbreth and the Rev. John Jaye will officiate.

He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Ruble.

He is survived by his wife, Belinda Fitch Ruble of Jasper; children, Richie Ruble (Demi) of Helena, Sara Ruble Manasco (John) of Pelham and Brandon Scott Ruble of Jasper; granddaughter, Claire Margaret Ruble and anxiously awaiting granddaughter number two; mother, Betty Ruble of Morgantown, W.V.; brothers, John Ruble of Centreville, Ohio, Robert Ruble (Martha) of Manassas, Va. and David Sotelo (Shanda) of Texas; brother-in-law, Scott Fitch (Kim) of Knoxville, Tenn.; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Joyce Fitch of Nicholasville, Kent.; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Pallbearers will be Tony Graham, Charley Dunn, Wes Bertoldi, Curt Cagle, Steve Duncan, Ronnie Dunn and Paul Kennedy.
