Clara Nell Cheatham Henson, 87, of Jasper, passed away on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013. She was born on Nov. 11, 1925. She was a loving mother, grandmother and trusted friend to many who knew her. Clara was an accomplished artist and seamstress.

The family will receive friends today, Jan. 22, 2013, from noon until 2 p.m. in the parlor at Collins-Burke Funeral Home.

Henson was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Cheatham; mother, Nellie Gilbreath Cheatham; first husband, Raymond Henson; second husband, Chester Hamilton; brothers, Carl Cheatham, Charles Cheatham and Dwight Cheatham; sisters, Ramona Cain and Geraldine Blackwell; grandsons, Casey Ray Henson and Jeremy Brett Henson; brothers-in-law, Owen Glass, Andy Blackwell and Tip Cain.

She is survived by her daughter, Jeannine Henson Greek (Robert) of Carbon Hill, son, Steven Ray Henson (Terri) of Wrangell, Alaska, sisters, Imogene Glass of Georgia and Sylvia Faye Kecton (Ferrell) of Sylacauga; sisters-in-law, Faye Cheatham and Maud Cheatham, both of Jasper; grandson, Sgt. Paul Bradford Henson (Kim) of Fort Knox, Ky.; granddaughters, Natalie Grace Pfau Litten (Bryan) of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Rebekah Joy Pfau (Cory Kilpatrick) of Denver, Colo.; great-grandson, Alex Henson of Canton, Ohio; great-granddaughters, Ashley Henson of Canton, Ohio, Savannah Grace Litten of Honolulu, Hawaii, and Ava Patricia Kilpatrick of Denver, Colo.; special grandchildren, Corey Greek, Kortnie Lyell, Melissa and Shelly Greek, Michael Greek, Bruce Smith and Brandy Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
