He was preceded in death by his parents, Snow and Augusta Hood, and two sisters, Glenda Gooden and Eunice Ray Hood.
Hood is survived by one son, Zachary Hood of Foley; three brothers, Strib Hood of Oakman, Regan Hood of Vincent and Jeff Hood of Daytona, Fla; and one sister, Shasta Hood of Tuscaloosa.
A private graveside will be held at a later date.
