Wenonah came two points shy of a state record on Friday night.

That was the only shortcoming for the Dragons as they knocked off Walker 128-43 in their Northwest Sub-Regional playoff game at Wenonah High School. The No. 1 Dragons scored 45 points in the opening quarter, just missing the state record of 47 points in a quarter.

Wenonah (30-2) led 45-5 after the first quarter and 62-20 at the halftime break. The Dragons held a 99-26 lead going into the final quarter.

Six Wenonah players scored in double figures led by De’Runnya Wilson’s 23 points. He added 10 rebounds as well. Justin Coleman recorded a triple-double with 15 points, 11 assists and 10 steals. Raymond Richardson had 18 points and 13 rebounds.

For Walker, Jonathan McCants had nine points. The Vikings close the season at 6-17.
