A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the chapel of McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home in Clarksville, Tenn. Full military honors will be rendered. His remains will be cremated following the service.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the hour of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born June 21, 1932, in Jasper, son of Oliver and Willie Howell Green. He was retired from a career with the U.S. Air Force in which he attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He dutifully served his country in the Korean War and in Thailand during the Vietnam War. Kenneth was a graduate of Tampa University and the first minority manager of Morrison Cafeterias. He was a Baptist.
Survivors include his loving wife, Helene Connors Green of Clarksville; sons, George Larry, Lil' John, John Russell, Johnny Lamont, Kenneth, Jr. and Michael James; and daughters, Shirley, Eleanora (Mish) and Suzan Rennee. He was the proud grandfather of 26 and great grandfather of 39.
