The family will receive friends today, Feb. 27, 2013, at 4 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held today, Feb. 27, 2013, at 7 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Walker Memory Gardens. Bro. Charles Underwood will officiate. Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Mr. Stone was preceded in death by his father, Cody Stone; mother, Mary Ellen Austin Stone; sister, Barbara Stone Rose; and brothers, Joe Neal Stone and Roger Allen Stone.
He is survived by his wife, Dean Stone of Parrish; daughters, Linda Carol Hice of Parrish, Becky Leibensperger of Birmingham and Mary Ellen Fondren (L.J.) of Jasper; brother, Johnnie Thomas of Denver, Colo.; grandchildren, Kim Doss Fore (Jon) of Georgia, Anita Allred Atkinson (Chuck) of Hoover, Jay Fondren (Becky) of Leeds, Shannon Fondren (Kayse) of Cullman and Jake Allred (Stacie) of Jasper; and six great-grandchildren.
