The family will receive friends today, March 23, 2013, at 6 p.m. at Collins-Burke Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 24, 2013, at 2 p.m. in the Collins-Burke Chapel, with burial at Providence Cemetery. Scott Argent and Kip Cordell will officiate, Collins-Burke Funeral Home will direct.
Ellis was preceded in death by his mother, Margret Dozier; brother, Jerry Dozier; grandparents, George and Mertie Key; son, Kevin Ellis; daughter, Wendy Ellis; and grandson, Tyler Pennington.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Ellis; father, William Ellis; daughter, Kim Pennington (Nathan); sisters, Joyce Freeman (Leo) and Shelia Hollis (Larry); and granddaughters, Emily Pennington and Brooklyn Pennington.
