Oakman bass fishing team competes in regional tournament at Smith Lake

The Oakman High School Bass Fishing team competed in the Alabama Student-Angler Bass Fishing Association regional held at Smith Lake on Saturday.

Oakman had three two-man teams participating. The duo of Austin Swindle and Jase Trotter led the Wildcats with a haul of over five pounds.

More than 50 high schools and 196 boats participated in the one-day tournament.

Oakman has taken part in all three regional tournaments this season and will head to Tuscaloosa for the fourth regional tournament next month.
