The 6th annual EASI Rodeo will be held this weekend at the Jasper Jaycees Fairgrounds.

The rodeo starts at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. EASI participants will be doing a riding demonstration at 7:30 p.m. each night.

Rodeo clown Trent McFarland will be returning this year, and the specialty act will feature Roman riding.

Admission is $10. Children 5 and under are free.

Proceeds benefit Equines Assisting Special Individuals, a local therapeutic riding program. The money is used for operational expenses and special projects.

In the past, the rodeo has raised between $10,000 and $18,000 for EASI.

Last year, EASI Rodeo won the Southeastern Professional Rodeo Association’s Outdoor Rodeo of the Year.
