Losing a child may be the most tragic, traumatic thing a parent can ever suffer. Losing that child to murder is even worse, but for too many mothers, like Carolyn Lassiter, knowing your child was murdered but not being able to find them is the ultimate hurt.

Anyone with information regarding a missing person has an obligation to tell the authorities. Very often a witness doesn’t come forward out of fear or loyalty to the guilty party, making them almost as guilty as the murderer.

Taking a life is a horrific act, but the continued torture of those left behind is an even more sinister act in many ways.

“I just want somebody to come and tell me where he is,” Lassiter said. For her, this will never be over until she can have the closure of knowing where her son’s body is located.

Those words should haunt the people who know what happened to her son or her son’s final resting place.
